Land of Ilokandia

This late February, we decided to go to Ilocos Sur for our friend’s birthday celebration, Germaine, and their house blessing. We have been friends since highschool and very comfortable to each other, so having almost a week with them is okay.

Since being there for some quite time, we have this very spontaneous plan going up farther to Ilocos Norte.

And the adventure awaits.

After that tiring 9 hour travel from Manila to Ilocos Sur. Zzzz.

The next morning was a bit exciting. Food everywhere. The priest came in to bless the house, and we didn’t understand a thing. He had been blessing the house for almost an hour in Ilocano. So my friend and I, just stand there, trying to get good photos of the house and the family. 

After that, we went to the farm nearby. Overwhelming sceneries, well compare it to the sceneries here in Manila it was overwhelming enough. Got some photos to share. :)
