Corazon Aquino: Breaking a World Record

The 'Laban' sign became more famous when former President of the Philippines, Corazon 'Cory' Aquino, died a year and days ago. The whole Philippines sympathized for her death, along with the family, friends, supporters, and even political enemies. What can you say about the week of her death? Yellow confetti's all over, flood of individuals having yellow with them and yellow, and yellow.

She was indeed the light of the world, the only light Philippines had. As others have to say, we want another Corazon Aquino. But no one can ever be leveled to her. She was the only one who understands the Filipinos well. She had touched the heart of each Filipinos within her time, as well as mine. She inspired everyone that justice is served with a true heart and honest soul.

Last July 31, 2010, a day before her first death anniversary, current Philippine President Benigno 'Noynoy' Aquino III led the unfolding of the photo mosaic of her mother. The photo mosaic consists of 3,000 plus photos which were sent by the fans and supporters.

Revoli Cortez, an award winning photojournalist and photo mosaic artist, made the photo mosaic. The photo mosaic is about 70 meters by 76 meters, laying on Quirino grandstand, Manila.

Here are some of the individual photos of the late President, photos with family, friends, supporters and political comrades.

Corazon Aquino, died last August 1, 2009, lived her life with love for the family. Until she realized that the whole country is her family. True heart and a good soul, all now lived with her peaceful and tranquil death.

I've been there. Have you?
